And now for something completely different. With links to other sites about the fog alarm.
This is the first of two postings featuring the Low Head Fog Alarm in Tasmania.This is a low quality video to give a feel for where the fog horn is situated. It starts with the end of one blast and after about a minute the next 3-part blast is heard.
The fog horn was restoted by local people who each Sunday at 12 noon start up the engine; fill the tanks with compressed air and let it rip for 5 minutes.
